Flood & Weather Recovery Grants

Unincorporated King County Flood and Weather Recovery Grant Program

Auburn Area CONNECT has partnered with King County to provide grants to businesses located in Unincorporated King County that were impacted by our recent storm in December 2025. This funding is intended to support small businesses and human service organizations that sustained damage due to weather and flooding during the December 2025 storms. Grants awarded are up to $5,000 per small business or human service organization.

 

Eligible Businesses and Human Service Organizations

To be eligible for the Flood and Weather Recovery Grant, businesses or human service organizations must meet all the following requirements:

• Must be physically located in Unincorporated King County

• Must have been established, registered, or licensed with Washington State before November 30, 2025,

• Must be currently licensed

• Must be currently operating

• Must have documentable physical damage or loss from the storm emergency beginning December 9, 2025.



Eligible Activities

The following activities are eligible for coverage from the Flood and Weather Recovery Grant:

• Clean up

• Repairs

• Loss of Goods

• Disposal of Damaged Goods or Equipment

• Other activities may be approved by King County upon request Documentation Collection. 

 

Grant Application Process

Required documentation needed for submittal process:

• Completed Grant Application Form

• Valid Washington State business license or registration

• Photographs (if applicable) of storm-related damage or loss

• Receipts for completed work or estimates for work to be completed

• Photos of repairs completed or replacement of lost items (if applicable)

Grant Deadline

All required documentation and applications must be completed and turned in by 4pm on March 30th, 2026. Grant application and documentation can be emailed to Kacie Bray at kacie@auburnareawa.org or mailed to 268 E Main Street, Auburn, WA 98002 (postmarked by 3/27/26).
