This annual event -- the Journey to Bethlehem -- has become a must-attend, holiday tradition for many in our area.
For the duration of each evening, guides launch groups of guests into the church's ready-made, outdoor set, intended to evoke the imagery of the ancient city. Guests are led on the journey, traveling through the Christmas story. Along the way, they encounter real livestock, make their way through a bustling market, meet pivotal story characters, and join in popular, holiday tunes. Realistic production sets and hundreds of volunteers create this unique experience that brings the community together each holiday season.
Journey to Bethlehem began in 2006. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales is donated to the Auburn Food Bank. In total, over $50,000 has been donated to the local nonprofit organization.
